The Association was founded in 1947 and is still going strong.

We are part of the Suffolk Beekeepers Association (SBA), the county group which links the members to the BBKA.

• We arrange lectures and social gatherings.
• We take our bees to local shows and sell honey.
• We publish our own newsletter.
• We have an "Agency" arrangement with Thornes Limited for purchasing bee keeping equipment and this enables us to obtain discounts which we pass on to our members.
• We have a teaching apiary near Leiston, for all members old and new.
